Don't know what kind of RAM you need? Turn off all power going to the computer, detach all cables, and pop open the case. Inside you'll find the RAM. It's easily recognizable, but if you have trouble finding it, refer to some of the pictures below.
After you find the RAM, find the sticker on it that will tell you the size, the frequency, the make and model, etc. and write it all down. E.g. Kingston 128 MB 133mhz DDR RAM. Just search for those same specifications except in a larger size, i.e. 1GB.
